Painted Glass Facts:

Painted glass is available in glass 1/8" to 3/4"thick.

Backsplash glass is normally 1/4" thick

Panels behind cook-tops should be tempered for heat or for hoods installed on top of the glass

Low iron glass (Starphire) is recommended for white and light colors - clear plate glass has a green tint and will alter most colors

Solid, transparent, pearl, metallic and faux finishes are also available

Glass can be cut, drilled, fabricated after glass is Colored.

What are the sizes of the glass?

What thickness of glass can you coat?

We can coat 1/8" to 3/4" glass.

How long will our painted glass project take to produce?

4-6 weeks. Lead times are estimated at the time of quote and subject to changed based on shop workload and receipt of contracts.

What is Starphire glass?

Starphire glass is a low iron glass, recommended for light colors and allows a true color affect. Plate glass has a green tint which will alter most colors.

Can you fabricate custom painted glass?

Yes. Holes are drilled in panels and we can cut everything to be done after the paint is applied just like regular mirror applications.

How is the painted glass installed?

Our painted coated glass can be installed like ordinary mirror with Palmer mirror mastic or non acidic silicone. This allows any mirror co. in your area to measure and install your colored glass.

The company will use its reasonable endeavors to match as closely as possible the finished product with the color chart. The customer is advised that is difficult to match a printed color chart with the paint on painted coated glass. The color on samples are slightly lighter than the finished product. Samples allow more light to transmit through the edge of the glass, therefore making the color lighter.
